Taking Stock in Paris

I’ve been busy sorting out work for our new adventure in Canada so haven’t had a chance to post as often on here as I’d like, but here are some bits that we made whilst in Paris.

The main thing I wanted to take from this trip was a long exposure timelapse at the Arc de Triomphe, in the same style that I shot in Saumur a couple of weeks ago. Shooting this was a little bit risky, as if you’ve visited this part of Paris you will know that it can only be described as a free for all. All common sense, courtesy & insurance policies are thrown from the millions of car windows that drive around the Arc every day, so standing on one of the crossing islands for an extended period of time was not a pleasurable experience.

Anyway, after dialling into my timelapse calculator, we decided that 30 minutes was long enough on that traffic island which gave us about 18 seconds of lovely 4k footage.

I also shot some stock of Ellie taking photographs at the Eiffel Tower, which I’ve cut in a bitesize video you can see here!

I would have like to shoot more in Paris that day, but sometimes, as all fellow creatives will understand, I find it difficult to believe in what I’m doing, but after seeing final products like the timelapse above, it makes the worrying feel much more like a waste of time.
