Chicago, illinois - Pt 2

Here they are, using Photographique to develop, the prints from the CineFilm 800 roll shot in Chicago.

These shots were taken all on the same day, I walked from the front of Grant Park, down by the water, to Union Station, over Jackson Bridge, past Willis tower and past the old post office (which is the abandoned building in the photographs).

I had no idea how to expose these properly as I hadn’t used 800 speed film before and I hadn’t used anything like the CineStill Film before AND the meter on the AE-1 is a bit temperamental.

The shots have come out as I hoped, although the colour balancing on the film has made the red highlights bleed a bit, and I thought the colour balancing would also be more prominent in the development, I thought it might give the film a blue wash.

I’ve also got another of CineStill’s films but this one is 50speed and balanced for outdoors so will take an autumn looking kind of set soon.

My favourites are the second shot, from the train lines looking back over the city, its picked up the shadows and the highlights out really well. I also like the 9th shot looking back at the road with the sunrise centre framed.
