Heel Choppin’

It’s that time of year again and work is flipping mad (in a good way). Its busy, lots of work being released/being made. I got a bit of a promotion at work so I look after a few more things than i did before, so yippie!

There is something big coming soon, but in the mean time I’ll show you some things that have been released that i didn’t get a chance to post about before.

The first two videos I’ll share are something that FIFA hadn’t done ever before so it was great to be involved in creating them. When the FIFA team went to Madrid to shoot Ronaldo’s mo-cap, they popped a 360 camera in the middle and captured CR7’s free kick animation & the heel chop animation.

It was trickier than normally videos as we had to follow the action whilst fitting in with the 360 format. The outcome was great, the editor who put it together is a WIZARD. So much so that the man himself, Cristiano Ronaldo, shared the freekick video on his personal Facebook page (which is huge!!). It got about 6m views across Facebook, crazy that many people see my work! Unfortunately, I can’t share the freekick video (as it was only posted to Facebook) here but I can share the other 360 video we made of Ronaldos Heel Chop.

It’s been shared all over the place again, getting into FourFourTwo, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, Games Radar and lots of other places too!
